About the Author
Erin Wright is a certified nurse-midwife and assistant professor at Johns Hopkins School of Nursing. She was busy living her life and working her tail off teaching and catching babies, when she was given a surprise diagnosis of advanced stage ovarian cancer in 2021. She holds degrees from Johns Hopkins University, Georgetown University, Frontier Nursing University and The Eastman School of Music. She lives and works in Baltimore City with her husband, two dogs, and four (sometimes five) cats. Her two grown children are everything to her. When not working, she volunteers for the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance. In her βmeβ time, Erin enjoys knitting, reading in bed, winter, rain, gardening, traveling, and singing with the Baltimore Choral Arts Society. While she has a number of academic publications, this is her first memoir.
